Grüner Veltliner
Estate Wine 2018
The typical representative of the northern Weinviertel with a spicy nose of field herbs. Very peppery and quite powerful on the palate. Fine stone-fruit aromas add to the crisp and fruity overall impression.
Origin: Selected vineyards in the Pulkau valley, northern Weinviertel
Soil: Sedimentary rock with a good amount of clay
Alc.: 12,5% • Acidity: 5.6 g/l • Residual sugar: 2 g/l
Vinification
Selected grapes were picked at the beginning of October, crushed and gently pressed after 6 hours of maceration. The self-clearing must was chilled and left to ferment slowly in 100% stainless steel tanks. The wine aged on its lees for several months to build its fine, elegant and crisp style.
Recommended drinking temperature: 10-12°C
Anticipated maturity: 2019-2021
Food pairing
It will always be a good choice for cold buffets, and it’s a favourite for ravioli with ricotta filling, onion soup or Viennese Schnitzel.
